CHAPTER II

PROPHET MUHAMMAD(2)

The Arab people were invited by Muhammad to accept Islam. Some responded favourably, but most of them rejected Islam. They also turned against him. In 622 A.D. Muhammad migrated to Medina. It was in the 12^th year of his prophet-hood. In Medina he was acceptee as a leader of an Islawic State. There he established the foundations of the relation among Muslim people and between Muslim and non-Muslim people in general.

The Islamic calender began from the time of migration. Migration in Arabic is Hijrah. In mecca he tried to estabish belief in one God among Arabic people. In Medina he tried to establish a social life among many different people. Muhammad continued to preach Islam in Medina. He worked with unmatched patience and great wisdom.

A short time after his death the message of Islam spread worked with unmatched patience and great wisdom. Islam contributes to world history. It also contributes to civilization and scientific development. Today, about 1,000 million Muslimsall over the world accept Islam.

NABI MUHAMMAD (2)

Orang Arab diajak oleh Muhammad untuk menerima Islam. Ada beberapa yang menanggapi dengan senang hati, tetapi sebagian besar dari mereka menolak Islam.Mereka juga melawannya.Pada tahun 622M Muhammad berpindah ke Madinah. Itu merupakan 12 tahun masa kenabiannya. Di Madinah beliau dipercaya sebagai pemimpin Negara Islam. Disana beliau membuat hubungan mendasar antara sesama orang Muslim dan antara Muslim dan orang non-Muslim secara umum.

Kalender Islam dimulai dari masa berpindah (Nabi). Berpindah di Madinah disebut Hijrah. Di Mekkah beliau mencoba membuat percaya di antara orang Arab bahwa tuhan itu satu. Di Madina beliau mencoba membuat hidup bersosial di antara banyak orang yang berbeda. Beliau bekerja dengan tidak beradu domba dan kebijakan yang luar biasa.

Waktu singkat setelah pesan terakhirnya kepada sebagian belahan dunia.Islam memberikan sumbangan untuk sejarah dunia. Disamping Itu juga memberikan sumbangan untuk peradaban dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Hari ini ada 1 juta Muslim lebihdi dunia menerima Islam.
